How to find the survey number of my land (or my location)

మీ భూమి సర్వే నెంబర్ ఎలా తెలుసుకోవాలి?

Standing on the land? Open the survey map, use your phone's location and tap the field — its survey number shows up. Not there? Search the village, or read the number from your documents. Here are all the ways, quickest first.

Find my survey number on the map

Indicative map, not a legal survey. JaaGa is a private company, not a government website.

1. From your current location (on your phone)

లొకేషన్ తో సర్వే నెంబర్

  1. 1Stand on or near the land and open Survey Maps.
  2. 2Allow location — the map centres on you.
  3. 3Turn on “Sy.No” and tap the field you are in. You see the survey number, village and mandal.

Phone GPS can be off by 5–10 metres, so near a boundary, check the field shape against the satellite photo before you trust the number.

2. From a place on the map

Search the village, a nearby landmark or a Google place name, zoom in, and tap the field. This also works for land you are not standing on — a plot a seller has shown you on WhatsApp, for example.

3. By village and number (Telangana)

If you already know the number and want to see the land, use Find Sy.No: pick the village or mandal and type the survey number. The map flies to that field.

4. From your documents

  • Pattadar passbook — survey number and extent for each holding (in resurveyed AP villages, the LP number).
  • Sale deed — the schedule of property gives the survey number and the four boundaries.
  • Encumbrance Certificate (EC) — lists the survey number for each registered transaction.
  • Pahani / Adangal / 1B — the village record for each survey number.
  • Layout plan or plot allotment letter — for plots in a layout, the survey numbers the layout stands on.

5. Ask on the ground

The village revenue officer, the mandal surveyor or neighbours who have their own passbooks can tell you the survey number. A licensed surveyor can mark the boundary on the ground — that is the step to take before a sale or if there is a dispute.

Certified records and services JaaGa can get for you:

The survey map is indicative: boundaries are digitised from government village maps and laid over satellite photos, so lines can be a few metres off. A plot you draw is only as accurate as the photo and your marking. Neither is a legal survey or a certified record. For a sale, loan or dispute, get the certified village map / FMB (tippan) and, if needed, a survey by a licensed surveyor.
